Stephens experience living in West Africa performing and studying with master drummer Isah Hamani of the Djerma Peoples, (Niamey, Niger) and his studies with Avante Garde composers such as John Cage, Charles Wuronien, and Max Neuhaus comes to its full fruition in this collection of highly innovative compositions.
